Onema Greenlee

Onema Greenlee at the age of 77 was received into the Lords arms on April 18, 2014. Onema was born October 2, 1936 to Wilford and Margaret (Jones) Moore in Hanna, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in Morris, OK. Onema married James Greenlee on November 20, 1954 and after relocating several times for work they finally settled back in Morris in 1967, where they farmed and raised their family. She is survived by her children, Ronald Greenlee of Okmulgee, Gary Greenlee and wife, Robin of Harrah, OK and Debra Greenlee of Morris. Onema also has 5 grandchildren, Ronald Greenlee, Jr., Donnie Greenlee, Monica Greenlee, Laura Greenlee and Matthew Cox. She has also been blessed with 3 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her longtime friend and companion, Bob Ross. Onema was also blessed with a large family and is survived by her siblings, Odell and Sil Moore, Opal and Bill Chanslor, Oletta and Gary Smith, Onetta and Lonnie Broomfield, Olen and Hilary Moore, Oma and Gene Cottom, Olena and Doug Leese, Otis and Joan Moore, Ollie Moore and a brother-in-law, Robert and Carol Greenlee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. She spent her time as a homemaker and mother as well as working on the farm. Numerous times she showed off her canning and sewing skills at the local county fair. She served as the President of the Okmulgee Extension Homemakers Organization and enjoyed traveling with the group and spreading the word of the importance of rural life in America. She was also one of the Morris Sunshine Gals and enjoyed the company of all her fellow members. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Morris with Reverend Wade Harelson and Reverend Ray Moffeit officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Morris Cemetery under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Mike Chanslor, Gene Broomfield, Chris Moore, Randy Smith, Brandon Moore and Shane Helterbrand. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Nathan Moore, Garath Moore, Terry Cottom, Kirk Ross and Garret Moore. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the family will greet friends that evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee.
