Olive Floretta Moore, 90, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 29, 1927 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Edna (Cantrell) Wheatcraft and Oliver Wheatcraft.
Olive graduated from Central High School in 1946 and attended the University of Oklahoma.
On February 2, 1951 she married William Manning Moore in Oklahoma City.
They lived in North Carolina and Kansas, eventually returning to Oklahoma and raised their family in Tulsa.
Olive attended Church of St. Mary and her children attended School of St. Mary. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and taking care of her family. She had a kind and generous soul. She lived a full life and was courageous until the end. She will be greatly missed by many who were fortunate to have her for family or friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Moore; parents, Edna (Wheatcraft) McCutheon and Oliver Wheatcraft; and two daughters, Sharon Moore and Diane Moore.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Shockey (Mark) and Nancy Becker; grandchildren, David Hatfield (Lydia Istnick), Derek Shockey, and Erin Lementowski; (Peter) and great-grandchildren, Ellen Lementowski, Alex Lementowski, David Robert Hatfield, and Andrew Istnick.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Olive Moore to the American Cancer Society.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 9th 10:00 am, Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial Dr. Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
