Odean Johnson

January 9, 1996 — May 11, 2017

Odean “Mookie” Johnson, age 21, was born on January 9, 1996 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Sherita Jawuan Johnson and Ronald Evans. Odean grew up in Okmulgee until he reached the third grade, then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended school. Odean, better known to his family, as “Stinky.” Odean enjoyed playing basketball; he loved to sing, loved to rap and dance. You couldn't tell him, he can't sing, dance or rap, and he will bust a note, rap a little, and get his groove on. Odean also was known as a lady's man, he has the most gorgeous smile, and the sweetest personality. He had no problems making friends. Odean will give you the shirt off of his back, shoes off his feet, his last out of his pocket, and if you need to lay your head down, he got you...
Those who knew Odean would say he blessed the block and had love for everyone. Odean was a loving son, brother, uncle, and of course, a friend. Odean will be truly missed dearly.
Odean leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Sherita Jawuan Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; father, Ronald Evans of Tulsa, Oklahoma; stepmother, Pleasure Lawton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandmothers, Carolyn Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Annie Joyce Drew of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; grandfather, Olan Franklin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; siblings, Thomas Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jasmine Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Daisy Evans of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Andrew Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Keaton Evans of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Trey Kerbo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ky'Shylia Hill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; uncles, Lemuel Johnson and wife, Toya of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Nakia Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Desmon Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia; aunt, Wykeyma Crockett and husband, Scott of Tulsa, Oklahoma, other aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, Michael Brown, Jr., Dameon Coyle, Jr., Kiara Johnson and Ja’Niyah Coyle; along with a host of other relatives of Jordan and Evans family and so, so many friends.
