Norma Lee (Altom) Whomble, 77 graduated to Heaven Saturday, May 7, 2016 at her home in Tulsa with her husband by her side. Norma was born March 26, 1939 to Finis Marion and Effie Mae (Piker) Harris in Oil Trough, Arkansas.

Norma graduated from high school in Oil Trough, Arkansas in 1957, marrying Daleway Altom that same day. There were three boys and one girl from that union. The family moved to Tulsa where Norma worked at Briar Glen Elementary later becoming the Cafeteria Manager. She worked there for 35 years.

Norma married Danny Whomble February 27, 1981 at South East Free Will Baptist Church. They were married for 35 years at the time of her home going.

Norma loved her family. She loved going to watch her grandchildren in any event – sports or the arts whenever or wherever they were performing. She loved fun and games, enjoyed stock car races in her younger years, attending sporting events and games with her family, loved taking the RV to Grand Lake, loved fishing with her husband Danny. She loved having her family at her house for Big meals on Holidays and Sundays. She was one good cook. Norma loved getting matching shirts for she and Danny – and he wore them. They looked Sharp every Sunday morning when they came into the church for services. Norma was always ‘fixed’: her hair, make-up and clothes were perfection. She was a classy lady that will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Her all time favorite country singer was Conway Twitty. Over and above everything she loved her family.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Gaylon, Larry and Ricky. She is survived by her husband, Danny J.
