Norma June Barnes

Norma June Barnes, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at the age of 87. She was born July 18, 1928 to Rufus Clarence Tapp and Capitola (Robinson) Tapp in Claremore, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Barnes; her parents, brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her grandson, Mark Shields and wife, Andrea; daughters, Glenda D. Shields and Norma Jean Barnes; sister, Earnestine Rains; brother, Ace Tapp; grandchildren, Dominique Shields and Shiann Swearingen and other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Okmulgee Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service 220 S. Alabama Ave Okmulgee.
