Norma Jean Hardesty

Norma Jean Hardesty, 77, of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, with family by her side.

Norma was born July 13th 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Howard and Mae (Duncan) Shipman.

She graduated from Sand Springs High School and was employed at Seiscor as an inspector.

Norma was a member at Glenwood Baptist Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach and loved music, especially Elvis. Norma participated in Zumba at the Case Community Center and was active in the Sand Springs Alumni Association. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ricki Crain.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert E Hardesty; two daughters, Gayla Landeros and Shelly Crain, both of Tulsa, OK; a son, Randy Crain of Tulsa, OK and two brothers, Jerry Shipman and Linda of Albuquerque, NM and Ronald Shipman and Valinda of Sand Springs, OK; and three step children, Mary Carr, Laura Hardesty and Bill Hardesty. Norma also leaves seven grandchildren, two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on July 14, 2017, at Glenwood Baptist Church, 5400 Charles Page Blvd, Tulsa, OK 74127 with Pastor Clayton Griggs officiating.
