Norma Faye (Parks) Veazey age 78 passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 surrounded by loving family members.
Norma was born March 25, 1930 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Fred Parks and Josephine (Maddox) Parks. She graduated with the Class of 1948 from Pampa High School. On October 15, 1950 she married Edward Joe Veazey in Pampa, Texas. Norma liked to paint; she was a life long member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; member of the Orchid Unit Garden Club in Wewoka; and a volunteer for Oklahoma Adult Literacy organization. She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Josephine Parks and her loving husband: Edward Joe Veazey who passed away November 27, 2007.
Norma is survived by her son: Joe Veazey of Houston, Texas; her two daughters: Susan Rose of Tulsa; Katy Cook of Mounds; her brother: Lee Parks and his wife, Anita of Midland, Texas; three sisters: Betty King and her husband, John of Pampa, Texas; Martha Sutton and her husband, Jack of Atlanta, Georgia; Clarice Hough of Bartlesville, Oklahoma along with eleven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery, Mounds, Oklahoma. Mr. Keenan Meadors will officiate.
