Nita Lattie

May 26, 1967 — March 2, 2024

Nita Elizabeth Lattie, a cherished member of the Coweta High School class of 1986 and attended NSU, where she embraced sisterhood as a pledge member of the Delta Zeta sorority, peacefully departed from this world on March 2, 2024. Born on May 26, 1967, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Raymond and Lois Lattie, Nita was a beacon of love, kindness, and joy to all who knew her. Her radiant spirit touched countless lives, and her memory will forever remain a treasure in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.

Nita's affection for all things Mickey Mouse was undeniable, as she found immense joy in visits to Disneyland and Disney World, where she could immerse herself in the magic of childhood dreams. Her passion for bingo, the thrill of movie outings with her nieces and nephews during their younger years, and the exhilaration of voyaging on cruises were all emblematic of Nita's vibrant zest for life.

Throughout her professional journey at Name Brand Clothing, Nita exemplified dedication and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on her colleagues and the countless lives she touched. Beyond her professional endeavors, Nita embraced the role of caregiver with unwavering love and devotion, helping to nurture and guide several generations of nieces and nephews along life's journey.

Surrounded by the embrace of her cherished family and friends, Nita peacefully transitioned from this life at her home in Glenpool, Oklahoma, following a courageous battle with a brain tumor. Although she has departed from our midst, her spirit remains a guiding light, illuminating the path of those she leaves behind.

Nita is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lois and Raymond, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms into the heavenly abode. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, forever cherished by her four sisters: Ann Nowell of Glenpool, Oklahoma; Debbie Hamm of Mannford, Oklahoma; Bonnie Pernell of Stone Bluff, Oklahoma; and Charlie Gaddy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Additionally, Nita is survived by her two nephews and three nieces. Nita helped raise Hunter Nowell, Hailie Christian and Cody Christian. She also had an additional five great nephews and 9 great nieces along with a host of cherished family members and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts always.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Nita, let us celebrate the beautiful tapestry of her life, woven with threads of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Though she may be absent from our sight, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the hearts she warmed. May her memory be a blessing, and may she rest in eternal peace until we meet again.
