Nicola Dawne Owen

Nicola Dawne Owen passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. She was born July 19, 1965 in York, England to Kingsley and Patricia Owen. Nicola graduated from Danville Area Senior High School in 1983. She grew up in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and resided in Tulsa for over 25 years. Nicola pursued a career in nursing and worked for the Visiting Nurse's Association here in Tulsa. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her generous heart, and the way that she always put other people first. She is survived by her parents; sister Tracy Owen Polkowske; and many loving friends and relatives in Tulsa, England, France, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. The family would like to extend their greatest appreciation to all personnel at the St. Francis Health System. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to St. Francis Hospice in Nicola's name. The family will hold a memorial ceremony on the east coast at a later date per Nicola's wishes.
