Nickie Elizabeth Hall-Hensley was born an only child in Atlanta, Georgia on October 24, 1930 to Walter Joseph Murphy and Ruth Emerson (Porter) Murphy. Nickie passed peacefully from this life on June 10, 2022 at the age of 91.
Nickie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Neil Douglas Hall, and her second husband, Robert Marion Hensley. Nickie is survived by her son, Patrick Murphy Hall, two daughters, Jo Carol Moen and Elizabeth Anne Stevens, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nickie graduated from Georgia State College in Milledgeville, Georgia, attended the University of Tulsa and served as a physical education teacher in Tulsa, Oklahoma until she left the teaching profession to focus her time and energy on raising her family.
A loving mother and wife, Nickie was very active and loved nature and outdoor activity. She liked to garden, camp, hike, bicycle, and travel, domestically and internationally. She was a member of the Tulsa Irish American Club and Tulsa Bicycle Club. Nickie cycled in several different states in the US and in Ireland, Denmark, and other European countries, and participated in the annual Oklahoma Freewheel event for more than thirty-five years with family and friends.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by many.
