Nicholas Peyton Hingey

Nicholas Peyton Hingey, 41, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Nick was born on December 14, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Robert and Teresa (Tracy) Hingey. He attended Villa Teresa, Marquette, and Bishop Kelly, graduating in 1994. He was a member of Christ the King Parish serving, as an altar boy for many years, being called upon by Father Jerry McCarthy to serve at funerals, weddings, and special events in the diocese. He played baseball until he caught a line drive with one eye and decided that was not the sport for him. He moved onto basketball where he enjoyed camaraderie with the team and coaches. He loved being a jokester and was more often than not, able to catch you off guard. He played the guitar and loved jamming/singing with friends. He would two step with anyone that was willing with only one stipulation.....you must let him lead! He was protective of his brother, Austin, and his sister, Courtney. He loved all animals and was often times pet sitting while friends went on vacation or weekend trips. He loved to garden and grill, being quite the chef at times. He was a kind and gentle man who would do anything to help. He never judged people by the color of their skin, their afflictions or affluences, and always had a kind word to share. His smile was infectious and ever apparent. "Huntin', fishin', and lovin' every day!" was his motto.

He is preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents, two cousins; Stevie and Travis, and one second cousin.

He is survived by his parents; Teresa and Robert Hingey, his brother; Austin, his sister; Courtney, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and never forgotten for all the good he brought to our world. We love you, Nick!
