Nelda Goss

October 6, 1950 — April 8, 2025

Nelda Ann Goss was born on October 6, 1950, in Garber, Oklahoma, the second child of George and Chloe Stam. She grew up in a close-knit family of four and carried the values of love, strength, and resilience throughout her life.

At the age of 19, Ann met the love of her life, John Carl Goss. They were married on September 11, 1970, in Enid, Oklahoma, where they began their life together. Ann started her career in the dental industry in Enid, a field she would remain dedicated to for decades.

In the early 1980s, Ann and JC moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in search of new opportunities. Ann joined Nowlin Orthodontics, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. She built strong bonds with her coworkers and patients, and her warmth and work ethic left a lasting impression.

Ann and JC shared a vibrant life full of adventure. Together, they enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, boating, and even participating in bench rest shooting competitions. Though Ann never had children of her own, she gained 6 stepchildren through her marriage and took great pride in watching them grow into adulthood.

After JC's passing on February 5, 2008, Ann leaned on the support of her work family and friends, forming deep and enduring friendships that uplifted her through life's challenges and joys.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, JC Goss; her parents, George and Chloe Stam; her brother, Charley Stam; and Stepchildren John Goss, Dana Goss, and Gregory Goss.

She is lovingly remembered by her stepchildren: Marty Goss, David Goss, Randal Goss, and Michelle Newman; her nephew, Tyler Stam (and his wife, Misty); her niece, Tara Stam; many step-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Ann's legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.

There will be no formal services. Those that knew and loved her are asked to gather and remember her life and share memories. Notes of remembrance can be shared with the family by emailing her niece Tara Stam tmaystam@yahoo.com
