Naomi Holland

March 14, 1937 — February 8, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Naomi Holland. She gained her angel wings on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 87 years. Naomi was born on March 14, 1937 in Yonkers, OK to Frank and Lula Ketcher.

Naomi enjoyed a long and meaningful life, putting the needs of others first. She devoted herself to raising her six children and later took immense pleasure in helping to care for her sixteen grandchildren. In her younger years, she worked as a nurse assistant, caring for those in need. And as she grew older, she became a live-in nanny, continuing her life of caring for others.

With a love for music, Naomi enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing the guitar. One of her distinctive traits was her enjoyment of chewing tobacco. In her quiet moments, she found comfort in reading her Bible, watching religious programs, and listening to gospel music, which brought her a sense of joy and peace.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Connie, Dwayne, Rick and Robin; grandchildren: Mike, Brandi, Nikki, Robbie, Brandon, Michelle, Lori, LaDonna, Josh, Carol Sue, Janice, Derek and Dana; great grandchildren: Jessica, Cody, Dayren, Kassidee, Lindsey, Jamie, Haley, Justin, Kellan, Mariah, KK, Thomas, Paizlee, Jax, Poppy, Preslee, Liam, Charley, Brentlee and Zachary; one sister, Darlene; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Naomi was preceded in death by her grandson, Justin; children: Sharon and Carol; siblings: Alene, Frankie, Wanda, Jean, Sue, Richard, Wayne, Chub, Wallace and Cotton and her parents, Frank and Lula.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 2pm at Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, OK. The family wishes to send a special thank you to all of those who cared for Naomi throughout the past fourteen years, during her stays in Nursing Facilities. Most recently, the staff at Forest Hills Care & Rehab and Emerald Hospice.

Arrangements are entrusted to Schaudt Okmulgee Funeral Service & Cremation Care, 220 S. Alabama, Okmulgee, OK 74447. Family and friends may leave kind words of comfort, special memories and condolences to the family online at www.schaudtfuneralservice.com
