Nancy L. Duke

Nancy was born December 6, 1945 to Nancy (Harjo) Buster and joined her family on November 27, 2014. She is preceded in death by her mother; stepfather, John Buster; grandparents, Willie and Hettie Harjo; husbands, Walter Duke and Ira Smith; sister, Addie Sue Gerl; niece, Kathryn Gerl; aunts and uncles, Hepsey (Harjo) Lowe, Raymond Harjo and Daniel Harjo. Nancy is survived by daughter, Monica Cully (John Harjo); granddaughters, Mahayah Cully and Alana Harjo; sister, Michelle Buster (Levi Tilley, Sr.); niece and nephews, Ashley Cruz, Christopher Harjo, Josep Cruz, Daniel Cully, Levi Tilley, Jr., Mike Hollis and cousins and friends. She received her GED in 1984. She worked in the Okmulgee and Bixby area as a waitress at Coleman’s Restaurant and Nurse Aide at Bixby and Highland Nursing Homes. She loved blue carnations and going to the casino. She was Baptized and joined the Wewoka Indian United Methodist Church in October 2014. Memorial Services and Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Wewoka Indian Methodist Church inYeager, Oklahoma with Reverend Joe Lowe, Jr. and Reverend Rick Deer officiating.
