Nancy Irene Townsend

Nancy Irene Townsend, longtime Tulsa area resident, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the age of 79.
Nancy was born May 13, 1936 in Owensboro, KY to her parents, Robert and Lily May (Lanham) Parks.
She married Blaine F. Townsend on September 3, 1966 in Colorado Springs, CO. Blaine preceded her in death on November 25, 1988.
Nancy worked as the Office Manager for Empire Construction in Jenks.
Nancy is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret St. Claire and Betty Perry; and brother, Robert Parks.
Nancy leaves many loving memories with her family; daughter, Leigh Ann Townsend and husband Russ Retallack, of Broken Arrow; sons, Steven B. Townsend and wife Cynthia, of Tulsa, David Cronin and wife Elizabeth, of Texas, Edward Spiel and wife Pat of Minn; sister, Bonnie Rawls and husband Jim, of Arizona; brothers, Billy Parks and wife Laverne, of Arkansas, David Parks and wife Donna, of Kentucky, Kenny Parks and wife Libby, of Georgia; grandchildren, Cody Townsend, Alex Sisk, Megan and Brittany Retallack, Amber Spiel, Crystal Wolfe, Tara Ostman, David Cronin, and Blaine Townsend; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family members.
Nancy's wishes were to be cremated and interred next to her husband, Blaine.
A Celebration of her life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.
