Nancy H. Terebesy, age 61, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Nancy was born April 5, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Douglas Charles Hopperton and Ruth (Swetland) Hopperton. In 1964 Nancy graduated from John Rundle High School in Grenada, Mississippi. Nancy attended Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, where she graduated with honors in 1968. She also pursued graduate studies at the University of Mississippi. She met and married the love of her life, Allen Terebesy on July 18, 1970 in Memphis, Tennessee. Approximately 9 ½ years ago they moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
While living in Memphis she worked for Xerox Corporation and the Memphis Public Library. Upon moving to Tulsa, she worked for University of Tulsa and most recently for Superior Technology as a Technical Training Specialist.
Nancy was an avid reader. She will be remembered for her unselfishness; her sincerity; and her desire to help others. The principle remembrance of Nancy would be that she was always positive in her approach to all aspects of living.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents: Douglas and Ruth Hopperton. She is survived by her husband: Allen Terebesy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her mother in-law: Bette Ferguson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her step-son: Justin Allen Bunker of Memphis, Tennessee along with two grandsons, Connor and Dylan.
Memorial services will be held in the Sharp Chapel at the University of Tulsa on Friday, December 7, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. and Monday, December 10, 2007 a memorial service will be held at Grace-St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
