Nancy Faye Smith

Nancy Faye Smith, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the age of 70. She was born June 2, 1943 to William Henry and Addie Louise (McCollum) Dill in Carmi, Illinois. On July 28, 1970, she married Jimmy W. Smith in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America since 1991, where she also served as President. After 11 years of working at General Motors, she retired in 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Addie L. Dill; sister, Peggy Dill and two nephews, Danny Glen Lamb and Kevin Dill. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy W. Smith of the home; children, Sherita Kay Nipper, Aaron Jeffrey Smith and Chance Morgan, all of Okmulgee; sisters, Billie Wilkinson and Connie Gorman; brother, Jimmy Dill; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Jubilee Christian Center in Okmulgee with Reverend Dale Litsey officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Morris Cemetery under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee.
