Nadine Petrie Schaller, a former resident of Okmulgee, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the age of 95. She was born on Thursday, September 24, 1914 to Ned Archer and Flora (Lindsay) Petrie in Centinel, Oklahoma. On September 15, 1934, she married Harry Earl Schaller, Jr. in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Schaller was a gifted musician, she started playing the piano in her preteen years while living in Okmulgee and then she went on to play the piano and organ while living in Louisiana and Georgia. Survivors include her children, Jimmy Earl Schaller and wife, Jean (Hogan) of Sequin, Texas, Jerry Gordon Schaller and wife, Dorothy (Riles) of DeRidder, Louisiana and Joan Schaller Taylor and husband, Larry J. of Madison, Georgia; sister, Mary Shann of McAlester; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Doug Jordan officiating. Burial will follow the service under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Memorials can be made to the Nadine Schaller Music Education Scholarship fund at Bostwick United Methodist Church, PO Box 257, Bostwick, GA 30623. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home.
