Monta Lou Harris passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa. Monta Lou was born to Horace Preston and Iva Belle (Woodruff) Ratterree on July 20, 1937 in Fresno, California.
Monta Lou graduated from Blackwell High School in Blackwell, Oklahoma in 1955. She graduated from Baylor University as a Dental Hygienist and served as the President of the Dental Hygiene Association in Oklahoma in 1971. Monta Lou loved to read, play cards especially Skip Bo, loved playing and watching golf, loved to garden and owned her own flower shop in Texas. She also loved dogs, particularly her Chows, Sheba and Honey. Monta Lou loved taking care of people and she worked as a caregiver in her later years.
Monta Lou was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Tommy and Jonny Ratterree. She is survived by her daughers: Monita Taylor and Marcia Biernesser; grandchildren who called her "Nana": Amber Rettke, Jaimie Mizell, Julianna Hummel, and Kylee Nelson.
