Molly Sue Allday, Tulsa resident, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019, at the age of 69 years. Molly was born on October 23, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Molly was very smart. She started reading the dictionary at age 8 and competed and won in spelling bees up to the eighth grade. Molly was awarded a scholarship to Rice University where she started her journey to become an Educator. She became a Christian in college during the Jesus movement and began living with a community of believers. She then enrolled in New Mexico University and graduated and became a Special Education Teacher in Texas and in Oklahoma. She also tutored students up to high school level in reading and writing. Molly volunteered in reading and writing programs for students; she wanted them to be successful in academics, she felt if she could teach a child to read they could do anything they wanted to do. This past year 2018 and 2019 she was working on line for Tulsa Public Schools special education program.
Molly was a faithful member of Victory Christian Center and was actively involved in choir for over 20 years, served in Victory Downtown, lead worship at Victory Tulsa Dream Center, and volunteered as a teacher there , attended Victory Singles, Sunday night groups, John and Bonnie Huffines cell group, Dorothy Enns Woman’s meetings, Victory College. She was involved in Victory plays.. Another Ministry she loved was Common Ground Ministries, where she developed lifelong friends with whom she traveled and did missionary work. Help lead allot of praise and worship services which was Molly’s passion. She also taught young children Bible lessons. She was very politically active and did phone calling and prayed fervently for Governor Kevin Stitt. She attended his watch party and was actively involved with City Elders.
As a pastime Molly loved to knit, listen to praise and worship music. She was always learning things on the internet, constantly studying. Seinfeld and Mad Libs made her laugh. She was a quiet and methodical person who had a wonderful sense of humor. She adored children and loved to teach them. She wanted to make a positive impact on their lives. Foremost Molly loved God with all her heart and loved to worship Him with everything within her. The last time she was able to come to Victory, using her walker she walked to the altar and danced, before the Lord. Such a beautiful sight and a beautiful memory.
