Mildred Lea Eslick, age 65, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at St. John Sapulpa Hospital located in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to be with her heavenly father.
Mrs. Eslick was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 3, 1941 to Montana Sabelo and Pearl Leona (Horton) Sabelo. She graduated from Immaculate Heart High School. She met and married the love of her life, Bobby R. Eslick. In August of 1982 they were united in marriage. Through out the years Mildred worked as a nurse and in the dry cleaning business. Most recently she was a homemaker.
Mildred moved to the Glenpool area from Tulsa in 2002 to be near her family. Some of Mildred's hobbies and things she liked to do were reading, cooking, fishing, caring for her animals (her cat) and gardening. Most of all - she enjoyed spending time with her family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Montana and Leona Sabelo; her husband: Bobby R. Eslick (April 21, 2001) and her grandson: Joshua Ziegler (February 1994).
Mrs. Eslick is survived by three daughters: Mary Knorr and her husband, Steve, Tulsa; Carolynn Fike and her husband, Rick, Glenpool; Mildred Ziegler, Muskogee; two sisters: Helen Goswick and her husband, Bob, Ridgeland, South Carolina; Mary Morrow and her husband, Dale, Muskogee along with fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Thomas Purzner, Michael Purzner, Jonathan Hudson, Dexter Hardy, David Fike and Randall Ziegler.
Visitation and signing of the memorial book will be from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Saturday, April 7th at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel. Father Stewart from Sacred Heart Church in Sapulpa will officiate. John Kannady, Minister of Music for New Beginnings Church, Bixby will sing: I Can Only Imagine and Amazing Grace.
Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Salem Cemetery, Henryetta, Oklahoma.
