Michael Hugh Snedden, 65, beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on August 7, 2024. He entered this world on September 27, 1958, in Tulsa, OK, born to Jerry and Sharon Snedden.
Mike was an ardent fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. His love for the Royals led to a cherished moment when he met George Brett. A gifted athlete in his youth, Michael excelled in baseball as a catcher, wrestling, and running track and cross country. Despite suffering a traumatic brain injury at the age of 15 in a car accident, his determination and resilience never wavered. He was recognized as the Most Improved Athlete in Cross Country and graduated from Blue Valley High School in Stilwell, Kansas. Michael continued his education at Oklahoma Christian, where he made lasting memories and friendships.
Known for his big heart, caring nature, and loyalty, Mike was protective of those he loved. He never forgot a birthday, a testament to his thoughtfulness, often walking to the post office in Jenks to purchase a single stamp to mail birthday cards to his family. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and he was immensely proud of his children.
Mike is survived by his loving parents, Jerry and Sharon Snedden of Bixby, Oklahoma; his sons, Joe Snedden and wife Meredith of Vinita, OK, and Harry Snedden Bunch of Sapulpa, OK; his daughter, Erin Hill and husband Cooper of Vinita, OK; and his cherished grandchildren, Sawyer, Skyler, Perry, and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Chris Snedden and wife Lori, Patrick Snedden and wife Renee, and Matt Snedden and wife Brandi; and a host of nieces and nephews: Samantha, Jake, Emily, Parker, Conner, Kaylee, Gavin, Grant, Garrison, Greer, Paisley, Brooklyn, Baker, Lily, Max, Cayden, Kinley, Austin, and Reese.
Mike's memory will be treasured by all who knew him. His spirit, marked by kindness, loyalty, and love, will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
