Michael Montgomery

Michael "Gubb" Montgomery of Mounds, OK, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022. He was born on April 15, 1970 in Salinas, CA, to Dewayne Kenneth Montgomery and Hannah Mae Montgomery "Smith."

On April 24, 2001, he married the love of his life Kimberly Dawn Reynolds-Strain in Eureka Springs, AR. They shared 31 wonderful years together.

Mike drove a dump truck for the City of Tulsa, until he retired. He attended school in Checotah, OK, and graduated from Treasure Lake High School in Lawton, OK.

Mike loved spending time with family and friends, road trips, spending time at the lake, being with his four legged babies; Sheba, Zuis, Blu, and Koda, saving animals, and doing things for those he loved that made them happy.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Hannah Mae Montgomery Smith, father, Dewayne Kenneth Montgomery, sister, Renee (Montgomery) Prado, sister, Glenda Kay Jimsey, brother, Donald Montgomery, brother-in-law, Mel Hays, father-in-law, Delbert Reynolds, brother-in-law, Larry Reynolds, and best friend, Teddy Hart.

Mike is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kimberly Dawn Reynolds-Strain-Montgomery, mother-in-law, Clara Reynolds Roberts, three brothers, David, Dennis, and Marcus Montgomery, one sister, Rita Gay Stengel and brother-in-laws, Kirk Stengel and John Prado, sister-in-law, Elaine Gunter, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and close friends.

He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by his friends, John Hobbs, Angie Ellis, Rebecca Ward, Heather Johnson, Eric Vincent, Francene and Keith Prewett, his 2nd and 3rd moms, Lucy Eli and Neda Jacobs Long, and his wife who can't imagine life without him in it, Kimberly Dawn Reynolds-Strain-Montgomery.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mike's life on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 2pm at Schaudt's Okmulgee Funeral Chapel, 220 S. Alabama Ave., Okmulgee, OK 74447.
