Michael James Kinney, born on November 23, 1953, in Des Plaines, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Michael was a man who lived life to the fullest, embodying a spirit of adventure, humor, and resilience.

Michael grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 1972. He continued his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where he was a proud member of Phi Lambda Chi fraternity. After college, Michael answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1976, a testament to his strength and dedication.

He was married to the love of his life, Marion, for 49 wonderful years. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Michael is survived by his devoted wife Marion; his daughters Teresa Edge (Ryan), Katie Rich (Donnie), and Patricia Jackson; his grandchildren Keaton, Michaela, Brendan, Aedan, Presley, Molly, and Jude; and his great-grandchild Callum. He also leaves behind his brothers Matthew and Kevin, his sister Maureen Gribben, and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.

Michael loved the water, and Lake Tenkiller was his favorite place to be. He was wild and crazy, full of life, and had the kind of spirit that couldn't be tamed. Michael was known for his infectious laughter, his sharp wit, and his ability to bring joy to everyone around him. He was a joker, a storyteller, and above all, he was fun-a man who truly made the most of every moment.

Michael's life was a testament to the power of resilience; no matter how many times he was knocked down, he always got back up, ready for the next adventure. His family and friends will forever remember him as a man of strength, humor, and boundless energy. Michael's legacy of laughter and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
