Michael Joseph Stidman, of Cottonwood, Arizona was born to Jesse Stidman and Ethel Stidman on May 11, 1950. He passed away on May 16, 2019, at the age of 69.
Michael attended Globe High School and would go on to join the United States Army from 1969 to 1972. During his service time, Michael was on the front lines during the Vietnam War in which he served two tours. He received several medals for serving his country including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device and Parachute Badge. He received training in many areas of the Army including, Basic Airborne.
After serving in the Army, Michael loved working on vehicles and motorcycles. He opened his own repair shop as well. He enjoyed taking apart cars and fixing them to resell. He could be tough to love at first but after you got to know him, he would have many stories to tell.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Everet Stidman; brother, Richard Jennings Stidman and daughter, Carrie Leanne Wright.
Those left to cherish his memory include mother, Ethel Stidman of San Angelo, Texas; sister, Virginia Lee Hayer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Jimmy Ray Stidman and wife Linda of Wenatchee, Washington; brother, David Jesse Stidman and wife Robin of Rogers, Arkansas and sister, Regina Gale Griggs of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Grandchildren include; Jordan Aragon, Dillion Apodaca, Bailee Apodaca, and Joshua Apodaca; great grand-daughter, Savannah Rose, along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
