Michael Joe Johnson

Michael Joe Johnson passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the age of 35.

Michael was born on January 7, 1987, in Claremore, OK to his parents, Albert and Joyce (Hardridge) Johnson Jr. He grew up in Kellyville with family, enjoying what the outdoors had to offer. Although it took time to grow close with his siblings, they still created fond memories together as they grew up. From throwing footballs to apple cores, Michael always found a way to make people laugh.

He was an avid Star Wars memorabilia collector and had a wide range of Hot Wheel & Johnny Lightning cars. He enjoyed gaming with his niece, often playing Minecraft together. Michael also enjoyed playing Skyrim, watching a Pittsburgh Steelers football game, or spending time with his family.

Michael was often described as a big loving teddy bear with a heart of gold. He was sweet and caring to his core, making space in his heart for the big family he has. Although he had many nicknames such as Obi Wan, Buddha, and Teddy Bear, he was most known by Uncle Buddha.

Michael is preceded in passing by his Granny, Lola Hardridge Fulsom; Grandpa, Tom Hardridge; Grandmother, Minnie Johnson; Grandfather, Albert Joe Johnson, Sr. and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Albert and Joyce Johnson; his brother, Kenneth Johnson; his sisters Melissa, Courtney, and Chelsea Johnson; brother-in-law Aaron McCombs; nieces Lola, Layla, and Christine Johnson; nephew Bubba Johnson; his Aunt Reba; numerous cousins, and many friends.

Wake Service will begin at 7:00 pm, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Indian Fellowship Church, 6130 S 58th W Ave, Tulsa, OK 74131.

The Casket Bearers are Jacky Peeks, Dakota Jones, Sky Thomas, Terry Toppah, Chachio Pipestem, Jason Myers, Carl Lujan, Nathan Johnson, Aaron McCombs, Tommy Johnson, Jr., Little Tommy Johnson, Nick Johnson, and Quinton Johnson.

Honorary Casket Bearer is Liam 'Bubba' Johnson.

Funeral Service celebrating Michael will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Indian Fellowship Church, 6130 S 58th W Ave, Tulsa, OK 74131, with Reverend Gary Dunn officiating.

Burial will follow at the Hardridge Family Cemetery in Kellyville.
