Michael Allen Raefield

Michael Allen Raefield was born May 11th, 1945 to Ralph Michael Raefield and Kathryn L. Thames in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He passed away in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the age of 76. He was raised in Henryetta, Oklahoma by JT and Kay Crawford.

He graduated from Henryetta High School in 1963. He graduated from Oklahoma State Technical College in accounting. He then went to work for Pan American in the accounting department. It later became BP Petroleum in Tulsa. He left there and went to work for Viersen Oil and Gas company in Okmulgee in 1982. He worked for them until retirement in 2012.

He was preceded in death by his step-father and mother, JT and Kay Crawford, his sister Patricia Reed, and his son Brian Raefield. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, of 55 years, his daughters, Kelli Randell, and husband Joe, of Mansfield, Texas and Sheri Newport and husband, Justin, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma as well as six grandchildren, Joseph Newport, Kathryn Randell, Maya Rhoades, Joe M.E. Randell, Blaise Newport and Lucas Newport as well as two great-grandchildren Rhett and Evie Newport, two sisters, Judy Stewart and husband Ronnie of Porum, Oklahoma and Johnie Bennett and husband David of Cushing, nieces and nephews Pam and Bobbie Slaton, Jeff and Rhonda Reed, Tim Reed, Kathryn Joseph and Cindy and David Dean, Tex and Dana Stewart, and Bobby and Emily Stewart, along with a host of other family and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 22nd at Schaudt's Okmulgee Chapel from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Second Baptist Church of Okmulgee on Saturday, October 23, 2021 with Pastor Chaig Hobbs officiating.
