Melva Joyce Brown age 78 passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Mounds, Oklahoma.
Melva was born June 4, 1935 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Melvin Caviness and Dolly Nora (Gregg) Caviness. She married Robert Leroy Brown on February 24, 1951. She worked as a Fraud Investigator for First National Bank. Melva liked to crochet, play golf, travel and cook for her family. She was known for her mandarin orange salad and for planting flowers in her beautiful garden. She was known as "Mimi" to her family members. She attended Anglican Church of The Resurrection in Glenpool.
Melva was preceded in death by her parents: Melvin and Dolly Caviness, one brother, three sisters and her husband, Robert Brown (November 1, 2012).
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Eyler and her husband, Dan of Mounds, her son Michael Brown of Dallas, her daughter LeaAnn Brown and her husband, Ed Beigel of Sabastian, Florida, her twelve grandchildren, her twenty-two great grandchildren, other family members, friends and acquaintances.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Anglican Church of The Resurrection, 1329 E. 151st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Father Don Lawrence will officiate.
