Melinda Marie Edwards Baker

Melinda Marie Edwards Baker age 26 passed away at her residence on Friday, August 1, 2008 in Jenks, Oklahoma.
Melinda was born September 3, 1981 to Linda Ann Wright and Rodney Oglesby in Dallas, Texas. She attended schools in Mineral Wells, Texas. Melinda moved to Jenks two years ago. She was of Christian faith and a member of River Oaks Christian Church in Jenks.
Melinda devoted her life to her family. Family was very important to her. She and her children loved to walk and did so quite often. Melinda liked to watch movies and play Texas Hold'em. She was the proud owner of her dog, Clifford.
Melinda was preceded in death by her mother: Linda Ann Wright and her grandfather: Mr. Wright.
She is survived by her husband: Donald W. Baker, Jr.; daughter: Linda Marie; son: Isaac Wayne; father: Rodney Oglesby; father in-law and mother in-law: Donald W. Baker, Sr. and Catherine L. Baker; sisters: Angela Hodges, Kathryn Baker, Catherine Hearn; brothers: Paul Baker, Aaron Hearn, Randy Hodges; grandmother: Dessie Wright; niece: Olivia; nephews: Bryce, Alex, Ethan, Trey, Riley, Bradley; best friends: Iesha, Lee and Chris; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her love for her church family at River Oaks Christian Church.
Melinda was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Her last words to her family and friends were: €œAlways love, forgive and always be there for each other. You never know when it will be taken away from you.€

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. River Oaks Christian Church, Jenks, Oklahoma. Interment at Bixby Cemetery immediately following. Reverend Harold Phillips will officiate.
Pallbears are: Paul Baker, Bryce Baker, Aaron Hearn, Larry Harrison, Matt King and Vick Gerian.
