Melba Yvonne Kennedy

Melba €œNane€ Yvonne (Rodgers) Kennedy passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her Okmulgee residence.
Melba was born August 29, 1940 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Delbert Rufus Rodgers and Johnnie Houston (Farquar) Rodgers. Melba attended Coalgate schools. She has lived in the Okmulgee area for the past twenty-one years. Melba was a homemaker and loved to cook for her family members. She enjoyed reading, watching television and working in her garden.
Melba was preceded in death by; her son: Michael Frayne O'Donnell; her parents: Delbert and Johnnie Rodgers; her brothers: Urbie Pennington Rodgers, Zane Franklin Rodgers; her sister: Molly Rodgers; her husband: Vernon Kennedy. She is survived by her brothers: William Gilbert Rodgers of Okmulgee, Phil Rodgers of Tahlequah, her sister: Shirley (Rodgers) Marusak of Arlington, Texas; her grand daughters: April Livingston, Michelle O'Donnell, Holly O'Donnell, Amber O'Donnell, Ashley O'Donnell, Shannon O'Donnell and her great-grandchildren: Ashton Livingston, Michael Olsen, Madison Olsen, Shane Baughman O'Donnell, Bailey Makinson, Miya Warren and Tiarra Lewis.
