Maxim Scott Freeman

November 29, 1961 — July 4, 2020

Maxim Scott Freeman passed away in his sleep July 4, 2020 of colon cancer. He was the son of Robert Freeman and Hepsey Berryhill. Max had four brothers and six sisters. Shawnee, Kansas was his childhood stomping grounds where he raised havoc in the streets, literally.

Max moved out of the family home at 17 and started working at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. In 1995 Maxim married Tina Goade. He learned the art of concrete construction and together they built their own company, Maxim Concrete Construction. The business thrived and his reputation of quality work and customer service became his reputation.

Max would say the best days of his life were the birth of his daughters, Savana Checota (22) and Mahiyah Marie Freeman (17). He was loving and generous to his friends and family. Generosity and hospitality were some of Max’s greatest traits.“He really knew how to make someone feel worthy and special” - Rachael Freeman (niece). He was an avid NFL enthusiast and his favorite team was the Kansas City CHIEFS. In his free time he loved listening to rock ‘n’ roll, playing guitar, writing poems, and spending time with his daughters. Max loved his Native American culture and lived to make his ancestors proud.

Rest in peace
Maxim Scott.
