Maxie Mae Eden age 74, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at her Jenks, Oklahoma residence. She was born on June 22, 1936 in Vermillion, Kansas to James Oliver and Lucille Byers Van Gilder. Maxie went to high school in Vermillion where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class and played the French Horn in the band. While attending business school in Topeka, Maxie met Howard 'Bud' Eden on a blind date. Three months later they married on April 9, 1955. They later moved to Mt. Vernon, MO, Dallas, TX, and Jenks, OK where Maxie and Howard retired. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard Eden and grand-daughter Natalie Wade, her parents James and Lucille Van Gilder and sister Sharon Lindemuth. Survivors include: her daughters: Laurel (Rodney) DeLammermore of Claremore, OK, Cynthia (Ed) Shelton of Flower Mound,TX, and her son: Blake of Jenks,OK.; her brothers: Jim (Karen), Dennis and Larry (Diane) Van Gilder and brother in-law Frank Lindemuth; her sisters: Sandy (Chuck) Allport; grand-daughters: Heather Wade and Amanda (Jake) Stout of Claremore, OK, Jennifer (Aaron) Grant of Granbury, TX and grandson, Craig DeLammermore of Claremore, OK. great-grand children: Brooklyn Whitecotton of Claremore, OK, Christian, Reagan and Brynn Grant of Granbury, TX. along with many nieces and nephews.
