Maverick Charles Sadler

February 26, 1961 — April 2, 2013

Heaven got a little tougher when Maverick Charles “Chuck” Sadler went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the age of 52. He was born February 26, 1961 to Fred Lee and Shirley Ann (Lucas) Sadler in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was a loving father and grandfather, wonderful son and brother, and a true friend. He was one of the toughest guys you would meet and didn’t take bull off of anyone. But he had the biggest kindest heart you could ever find. The beautiful light you might have seen in his eyes were his two beautiful grandchildren, they were the light of his life. He loved his children with all of his heart and soul. He loved working on trucks and lifting weights. He was very artistic and loved to draw. He could draw almost anything as well as the many tattoos on his body. He is survived by his daughter, Lacey Dixon and husband, Terence; son, Maverick Sadler II and wife, Lee; grandchildren, Terryon Dixon and Rainey Sadler; parents, Fred and Shirley Sadler; two sisters, Lisa Garrett and Sherry Taylor; nephews, Waylon Garrett, Nicholas and Nathan Froehlich. As well as several other great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many longtime family friends. Gone but never forgotten, until we meet again. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Jubilee Christian Center in Okmulgee with Pastor Dale Litsey and Paul Brown officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Maverick Sadler II, Doug Morrow, John Bowen, Dale Conner, Robert Kahbeah, Danny Taylor, Keith Fleming and Arthur “Fats” Harley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shawn Book, Nick Froehlich, Nathan Froehlich, Waylon Garrett and Eric West. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
