Matthew Brian Crosser

January 8, 1974 — October 9, 2024

Tulsa

Matthew Brian Crosser died early Tuesday morning October 9, 2024 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 50. Matt was born January 8, 1974. Matt grew up in east Tulsa with his parents Bill and Jeannie Crosser and his two older brothers Kevin and Greg Crosser. He was a proud student of Mayo Elementary, Skelly Middle School and East Central High School graduating in 1992. Matt and Angie met at East Tulsa Christian Church where Matt and his family were long-time attendees. Angie and her family were looking for a church home and visited East Tulsa. Matt greeted them, showed each of them to their Sunday School classes and Matt and Angie began dating soon after.

In 1994 Matt and Angie enrolled at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO. Matt was a youth ministry major and Angie in Education. Matt proposed at Swan Lake and they were married on December 21, 1996. In March of 2001 Matt and Angie moved to Italy as church planters with Team Expansion. They lived in Ancona, Italy and for a short time in Perugia and Verona. In 2009, Matt's brother Kevin was in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Matt and Angie moved back to Tulsa and joined their family in the daily care of Kevin until he passed away in 2016. They also became legal guardians to Jacob, Kevin's youngest son and Matt joined the staff at Highland Park Christian Church as the Youth Minister. His role then transitioned to Engagement Minister in January 2021. Matt and Angie adopted three children Abby, Kyia and Dakota.
