Died: Saturday, December 16, 2023
Mary Sue Tiger Holt, a radiant soul, passed away into the arms of Jesus on December 16, 2023. Born to the late Paul and Dorothy Tiger on May 27, 1964, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Mary was raised in the heart of Sapulpa and attended its schools.
Mary pursued a career in nursing, demonstrating a deep dedication to her profession and the well-being of her patients. Mary found joy in celebrating life's moments with family and friends, whether it be holidays, birthdays, or the simple joy of making lasting memories. Her infectious sense of humor, comical nature, and playful spirit endeared her to those around her.
A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Mary's heart belonged to Texas. She loved all things Texan-sunglasses, cowboys, longhorns, and the sun-kissed shores of Galveston Beach. Mary's wanderlust led her to explore beaches coast to coast, finding solace and joy in the ocean's embrace. The beach, with its vast horizons, made her feel carefree and beautiful, similar to a mermaid.
Mary's love for adventure extended beyond her travels; she cherished seeing new places, meeting people, and sharing laughter. Her spirit of joy and love for life was evident in every step of her journey.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Tiger, her sisters, Ester Rusty Thomas, Patricia Tiger, and Carolyn Tiger, and her son Joshua Deaton.
She is survived by her son, Levi Deaton, and his wife Kayla, along with her beautiful grandchildren, Kacy, Clayton, and Briar Deaton. Mary is also survived by her sister Paula Andrews, brother Paul Tiger, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she cherished.
Mary Sue Tiger Holt will always be remembered for the warmth of her heart, the joy she brought to others, and the love she showered on her family. Her laughter, her love of life, and her free spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
