Mary Lou Smith-Erwin, 87, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed peacefully on June 2nd 2024 at her home in Parker, Colorado. She was born on April 17, 1937 in Robinson, Kansas to Lewis and Dorothy Moore (nee Hedrick). Her life was a beautiful story of love, laughs, and devotion to others.
She was a longtime member of the South Tulsa Baptist Church where she held various roles. She retired from Works and Lentz in Tulsa, Oklahoma after many years as the Law Office Manager. After she retired, she cared for her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with friends, gardening, and helping others in Tulsa. She loved entertaining her grandkids and friends with laughter around her pool in Tulsa.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Marlo and Richard Wagner of Parker, Colorado; and granddaughters, Morgan and Sarah Wagner. She is also survived by her sister, Armeda Weaver of Tulsa and one brother, Wilbur (Doylene) Moore of Bixby. Mary rejoins her husband, married 55 years, Dewayne Elmer Smith; her daughter, Cynthia Louise Smith; her husband, married 17 years, Lawrence H Erwin; two brothers, Elmer and Walter; and three sisters, Virginia (Paana), Florence, and Jean in eternal peace.
Funeral services will be on June 22nd at Schaudt Funeral Home 11am-12pm with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will follow at South Tulsa Baptist Church, 1:30-2:30pm.
