Mary Lee Roberts

September 11, 1948 — March 25, 2015

Mary Lee Roberts-Gibbs passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at her home in Tulsa Oklahoma, where she resided with her daughter Cindy and son-in-law Edward. Mary graduated from Estancia High School in 1966. She was great in all things she did in life and accomplished many things through determination and love. She was never one to be kept down, but always the one to soar and conquer. She married Thomas Calvin West and had two children, Thomas Russell West whom she is preceded by, and Cindy Lee West-Thompson. Her smile would light up a room and her love was always felt, she was and always will be a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend.

Mary is preceded in death by her father Hiram Gibbs, her mother Dovie Gibbs, her son Russell West, her brother James Gibbs, and her sister Helen. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Lee West, her grandson Christopher Thompson, grand-daughters Jessikah and Shelbi Knapp, her great-grandsons, Brayden and Bentley Thompson (Christopher), and Wiatt Joshlin (Shelbi). Four nephews, Jimmy Joe Gibbs, Roy, Dan and Allen Shield, and many cousins.
Mary’s wish was to be cremated and buried next to her son at her death. She has now gone to join her family and be the angel she has always been on earth. She will be greatly missed and so very much loved. The family would like to thank everyone for all the support and love during this hard time, as well Michelle Castillo-Schmidt for assisting in all the arrangements to be made. She loved you all and talked often. Time will never erase all the memories we all have of her. Time on earth is precious, so as Mary would say “Live every day to the fullest, Laugh even when it hurts and ALWAYS love to the moon and back”.
