Mary Evelyn (Hamilton) Kirk Darland age 84 years old passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Arbor Village in Sapulpa, Oklahoma of natural causes.

Mary was born April 15, 1931 to Roy Hamilton and Flora (Graves) Hamilton in Coweta, Oklahoma. She attended a two room school house until the 8th grade and continued her education at Coweta High School for two years. Her family moved to Haskell, Oklahoma where she met her first husband, Jasper "Jake" Keith Kirk - a grocery delivery boy. On July 19, 1948 they married and moved to Sand Springs. They started their family and had four children: Jack Nolan, Cole Allen, Brenda Kay and Gary Dale.

Mary worked at Hanna Lumber Company for many years - working with her husband until his death in 1985. After his death she retired and moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma - near Fort Gibson Lake. While living in this area she was a caregiver to: Jeanie, Betty, Joe, John and Ms. Justice.

Mary met and married her second husband, R.L. "Bob" Darland. They loved to travel together. For their home, Bob built a beautiful "A" frame cabin which she lived in until 2013. Bob preceded her in death in 1994.

Mary joined and became active in Hillcrest Free Will Baptist Church. Her church became her family. She taught Sunday School, worked as a clerk for nineteen years, she served as president of the auxiliary, she held many positions and offices within the church. Mary volunteered at Wagoner Community Hospital and for Rebecca Lodge 124. She had an active and independent life until she had a stroke in 2006. She lived at Wagoner Care Center and later moved to Arbor Village in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Flora, her husbands, Jake and Bob, her brothers, Robert and Lawrence, her sister, Norma Jean (Tootsie), her three sons, Gary, Jack and Cole.

Mary is survived by her brother Bill Hamilton and his wife, Delores of Coweta, Oklahoma, her daughter Brenda Kirk Ausmus and her spouse, Jim of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, two stepsons, Danny and Larry, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at noon Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Hillcrest Free Will Baptist Church in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Brother Burka will officiate.
