Mary Ellen Thomas

Mary Ellen (Langston) Thomas, 59, died on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Collinsville, Oklahoma. She was born October 23, 1957 in Los Angeles, California to James Kenneth and Ellen Sue (Curb) Langston. She was one of six children that enjoyed growing up near Los Angeles/Pasadena area. She met her husband, the late Virgil Thomas, all by chance. Her vehicle had broken down near his house, and he stopped to help. The rest is history. The two were married in Danville, Arkansas.
Mary enjoyed embroidering, the outdoors, flowers and bird watching. She loved playing with her cats. She looked forward to the holidays with family and friends and was a devoted parent and grandparent.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Thomas; parents, James Kenneth and Ellen Sue (Curb) Langston, and two of her siblings.
Survivors include her sister, Carol Boston of Booneville, Arkansas; children, Laurel Dickey and husband, Dustin of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Crystal Versluys of Booneville, Arkansas, and John Thomas of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shelby Walker, Paige Walker, Charles Walker, Alexia Dickey, Natalie Woodward, Bridget Woodward, Emily Woodward, Xzavier Dickey, Latham Dickey, Kaylin Dickey, Jayden Dickey, Isaiah Dickey, Braylyn Dickey, and Ryker Wesley Joseph Thomas; and two great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed by all.
