Mary Ellen Fant

Mary Ellen was born November 26th 1945 in Lake Village, Arkansas to Murphy and Dorothy Love.
She graduated from St. Anne’s Academy in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1964. She received her Practical Nursing Diploma in 1983 from Arkansas Valley Vocational Technical School and devoted 27 years of her life to the medical field.
Mary met Terry Fant in July of 1965 and later became his wife on May 4, 1968. Terry preceded her in death on January 13, 2010. Their life together was full of love for each other and their family. They enjoyed long drives to nowhere and camping in their travel trailer.
Mary was a selfless caregiver. She had a servant’s heart and was an amazing prayer warrior for her family, friends, patients and especially for those who did not have anyone to pray for them. She enjoyed being a nurse, she cared very deeply for her patients and her patients cared deeply for her. She retired from nursing in December of 2010 and spent the remaining years helping others, spending time in adoration of the blessed sacrament, and volunteering her time where ever needed. Mary was devoted to her catholic faith. She was involved with the Charismatic Movement and Marian Devotion. She loved the Lord.
Mary was preceded in death by both parents. She was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Love and her sister Anne Love (Sister Elizabeth Love OSB) and by her granddaughter, Brittany Beckham.
Mary is survived by her 3 children - Kathy Beckham of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Tony Fant of Fort Worth, Texas and Rebecca Stegall of Vian, Oklahoma; 6 Grandchildren – Katie, Emily, Ayden, Triston, Daniel and Chase; 3 Great Grandchildren – Derik and Jace and Maggie due in March of 2021.
