Mary Ellen Arnce

Mary Ellen Arnce, 88,a resident of Okmulgee, passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was born June 2, 1923 in Cushing, OK to Francis & Zoe Blackburn. Mary was a retired business owner having owned and operated both a shoe store and beauty salon. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Arnce of Okmulgee, 4 grandsons, William Arnce and his wife Terri from Kentucky, Brian Arnce and his wife Amber of Stillwater, Travis Arnce and his wife Patty of Texas, Bobby Arnce and his wife Julie of Florida, 4 great-grandaughters, Taylor and Allison Arnce of Kentucky and Ashlynn and Tatum Arnce of Stillwater, 2 sisters, Rena Hall of Claremore and Wilma Babiak of Stillwater, brother, Lewis Blackburn, as well as numerous other family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest Arnce, brothers, Gene, Gale, Albert Lee, Robert and one sister, Wanda Fowler. The family will hold a private family service at a later date. Services are under the care of Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
