Mary Elizabeth McFarland Sawvel Peters passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mary was born on May 24, 1943, in Joplin, Missouri to Ervin Clarence and Minnie Belle (Minks) McFarland. She worked at, and eventually retired from McDonnell Douglas as an aircraft inspector
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dorothy Hill, Shirley Dow, Harold Nerison, Violet Anderson, and George McFarland; and one great-grandson, Mason Fry.
Survivors include her daughter, Anita Restine of Stroud, Oklahoma, and husband Joe, their children Justin and Danielle Martin (Landon Martin and Kennedy Martin), and Megan Baker and Brett Fry (Lily Albert); Daughter, Patricia Stanworth of Mannford, Oklahoma, and husband David, their children Christopher Sawvel and Deb Drew (Rachel Ford, Christopher Sawvel, Joseph Sawvel, Caleb Sawvel, Destiny Sawvel, and Caitlyn Sawvel), Amber and Brad Brown (Bailey Brown, Ava Brown, Chelsea Brown, and Blake Stanworth), and Aaron Stanworth; Son, Dennis Sawvel, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and wife Lorena Ibarra, their children, Ashley and Phil Hubbard (Ethan Hubbard, Gage Hubbard, and Kaylem Hubbard), Melissa and John Owen (Taylor Owen and Shyla Owen), Brian Sawvel, Kristy Sawvel, Kelly Sawvel, Kevin Sawvel; and son, Allen Sawvel, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and wife Jennifer, with their son Michael.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel with pastor Brandon McCombs officiating. Burial will follow the funeral and take place at Tulsa's Rolling Oaks Cemetery, with Chris Sawvel, Justin Martin, Aaron Stanworth, Brett Fry, and Brad Brown serving as casket bearers.
