Mary Ann Solorzano

Mary Ann Solorzano, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the age of 41. She was born December 20, 1973 to John Joseph and Joan Cherry (Zuniga) Shepherd in Orange, California. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee. Mary was very adventurous and she loved to dance and sing but most of all she loved her family and had a special bond with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph and Joan Cherry Shepherd; grandparents, Joe Zuniga and Joan Albert Zuniga and Charles and Betty Shepherd; niece, Aurora Rose Shepherd.

Survivors include her four sons, Martin Solorzano, Jr. of Tulsa, Mario Solorzano and fiancé, Ashlee Manns of Okmulgee, Marty Solorzano of Tulsa and Marcos Solorzano of Okmulgee;
step-dad, James Dickerson of Okmulgee; longtime companion, Josh Pascale of Okmulgee; two sisters, Sherry “Pumpkin” Contreras and husband, Gerardo of Mounds and Joeann King and husband, Jeff of OKC; one brother, John Shepherd of Okmulgee; Aunt Babe –Sue White of Okmulgee; three grandchildren, Brooklyn and Ava “Little Bitty” VanStraten and Leo Joe Solorzano and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wake Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. that evening, both at the Schaudt’s Okmugee Funeral Service 220 S. Alabama Okmulgee, Oklahoma 74447. 918-756-3300.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Johnny Leybas and Pastor Steve Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Martin Jr., Mario, Marty and Marcos Solorzano, Joey Anguiano, Daniel Agnew, Albert Thomas and Boltin Wilbanks.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Seth Shields, Christopher Lee, Josh Pascale, James Dickerson, Alex Castillo, Giovanni Shepherd and Adam Munds.
