Mary Ann Galyean

On Thursday, October 15,2019, Mary Ann Richardson Galyean of Bixby, Oklahoma passed away at the age of 63.

Mary Ann was born in Snyder, Texas on August 9th,1956 to Merl and Retha Jean Richardson. She grew up in Snyder, Texas and graduated from Snyder High School in 1974 where she excelled in volleyball.

She married Rue Galyean on March 7, 1974. They raised two sons, Eric and Andrew Galyean, both of Bixby, Oklahoma. Mary Ann had a passion for volunteering and childcare. She volunteered for several years at the Bixby Outreach program and at the First United Methodist lunch program. She volunteered and worked for several years at the First United Methodist after school program where she loved interacting with the children. She and Rue were then blessed with five granddaughters so she became Grammy. A role she really cherished. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, two sons, two daughter-in-laws, her mother, three sisters and several nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18th, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Bixby, Oklahoma at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Mary Ann’s name to the Bixby Outreach program.
