Marvin Jesse Waggoner

Marvin Jesse Waggoner age 80 passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Marvin was born January 23, 1932 in Tahoka, Texas to Lloyd Waggoner and Alpha Pearl (Walker) Waggoner. He grew up in Texas and attended schools in Muleshoe, Texas. Marvin married Ella Juanita (Nita) Willis on July 3, 1951. Marvin's working career started when he was three years old and didn't stop until two years ago (he worked from 1935 until 2010). His first job was with his twin brother, Marion, when they set up a lemonade stand to help their family meet living expenses. His first "adult" job was working on a ranch for Grandpa Willis where Marvin met his future bride. He worked for Malone Milk Company and then Phillips 66 Fertilizer both located in Muleshoe, Texas. For forty years he worked as a construction foreman for Cyclone Fence Division of U. S. Steel Company in Baytown, Texas. After "retiring" he worked for different construction companies through out the United States. Most recently he worked at Expo Square for Food Services. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Alpha Waggoner, his wife, Ella "Nita" Waggoner (May 17, 2010), his twin brother, Marion. He is survived by his son Dale Waggoner and his wife, Teri of Broken Arrow, his daughter Donna Jean McElhany and her husband, James of Bixby, his daughter Debbie Kay Thompson of Tulsa, his son Dickey Wayne Waggoner of Springdale, Arkansas, his son Doyle Lynn Waggoner of Broken Arrow, his son David Lee Waggoner of Jenks, his brother Charles Waggoner and his wife Shirley of Texas, and his brother Gerald Waggoner and his wife Tommy of Tuscola, Texas, his loving fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren other family members and friends. Funeral services 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 at Abiding Harvest United Methodist Church, 4407 South Olive Avenue (also known as 129th Street), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pastor Chris Buskirk will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
