Martin Klingenberg

Martin Klingenberg passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Clarehouse in Tulsa. He was born January 28, 1963 in Troisdorf, Germany to Peter and Ursula (Dowideit) Klingenberg. Martin grew up in Germany. He served in the German Army and worked for the Allied Forces Central Europe where he specialized in the repair and maintenance of crypto machines. During that time, Martin met Sharon Nickens during a NATO exercise in 1985. They were married the next year on November 7, 1986. The family moved to the United States where Martin pursued a career in civil engineering as a draftsman designer. He owned and operated Precision Drafting and Design from 2005 - 2014. He was most recently employed by Cobb Engineering in Tulsa. Martin loved the beach and the family often vacationed in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He was known to be a gentle giant, fun loving, a jokester, and a prankster. Martin was always full of life. He talked with his relatives in Germany every Sunday and loved all of his family dearly.

Martin is survived by his wife Sharon; his daughter Nicki Klingenberg; his son Sascha Klingenberg and wife Samantha; his parents Ursula and Peter Klingenberg; his brother Achim Klingenberg and wife Dagmar; his granddaughters Lilly Alaniz and Jazmyn Klingenberg. Also surviving Martin are his sister-in-law Cathy Taylor; nephews Billy Taylor and Eric Vann; and his father and mother-in-law Roy and Kaye Nickens.

Services are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday at Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Larry Delay officiating. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Clarehouse and the Stephenson Cancer Center. The family would like to thank the Stephenson Cancer Center, Saint Francis Hospice, and Clarehouse for their most excellent care.
