Martha Wilberta Akam

Martha Wilberta (Calhoun) Akam passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at the age of 81 years. Martha was born on October 3, 1938 in Sallisaw, OK to her parents, Cecil and Martha (Hollis) Calhoun. Martha worked as a waitress for most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Cecil and Martha (Hollis) Calhoun, sisters; Ima Dee, Marilyn, Nadine & Ardath and brothers; Patrick & J.C.

Martha leaves many loving memories with her family, her children; Rhoda Yvonne (Peters) Smith, Glennis Duane Peters, & Stephen Eugene Peters, grandchildren; Justin Peters, Stan & Kara Peters, Joseph Peters & Jordan Smith, great-grandchildren: Blake Peters, Clayton Peters, Jakoby Smith, Caden Peters, Lucy Peters & Kaci Peters, sisters; Jeanie Sanders & Berniece Loper along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, OK 74033.

A celebration of Marth's life will be held at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service, 11:00 AM, Friday, September 11, 2020.
