Martha Nutt

Martha Nutt age 83 passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family members.
Mrs. Nutt was born June 28, 1923 to Joe Yarbrough and Hannah (Brown) Yarbrough in Bristow, Oklahoma. She attended Bacon Indian Boarding School in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1947 she married Hershel Nutt in Creek County. Martha retired from the Glenpool Public School system and most recently was a homemaker. In her free time she enjoyed reading, traveling, teaching the Euchee language to her grandchildren, horseback riding and exercising by doing swimming aerobics. Martha was a member of Living Stone Church and Solid Rock Church in Bixby.
Mrs. Nutt was preceded in death by both parents: Joe and Hannah (Brown) Yarbrough; her husband: Hershel Nutt (1986); her brother: John Wesley and sister: Marie Washburn.
Martha is survived by: four daughters: Loucretia McIntosh of Glenpool; Connie Olson (Dave) of Coweta; Cecelia Wittman (George) of Bixby; Barbara Williams of Bixby; one son: Joe B. Nutt of Tulsa; nephew: Raymond Washburn of Oklahoma City; niece: Florence Frank of Glenpool; her best friend: Deretha Buckminster of Henryetta; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren plus one on the way.
Wake services will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22nd at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel. Reverend Newman Frank will officiate at the wake service.
Funeral Service will be Friday, March 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel and Pastor Jim Littlehead, Pastor Kandell Meek, Pastor Tony Stick will officiate at the funeral. Grandson, Seth McIntosh, will speak on behalf of the family. Interment will be at Tiger Cemetery, Bristow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are: John McIntosh, Dave Olson, Joe Dale Tate, Jeffery Frank, Jeff Leek and Richard Whitman.
Honorary pallbearers are: Raymond Washburn, Phil Buckminster and William Long.
