With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Marsha Lynn Cochran, 80, of Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 14, 2022. Marsha, our loving, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.
Marsha was born on May 8, 1942 to Clela Irene (Kneller) Richard and Kenneth Richard in Warsaw, Indiana. Marsha was known for her relentless determination and loyalty. She spent her career driving a school bus for Jenks Public Schools where she positively influenced the lives of many children. During her twenty-two years driving her route, she never missed a day of work. She went on to receive a Vision of Excellence Award, the school's highest honor, in 1998 for her dedication.
In 1974, Marsha married Spike and the two were inseparable from that point on. Their marriage is a profound example of what selfless, true love looks like. Marsha was a fiercely dedicated and loyal mother, raising three equally tenacious children and two step children. She was a caring and devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family came first and was above all else to Marsha. She was a kind, passionate, and giving person who always put the needs of those she loved before her own. She was a champion for those she loved, and she devoted her life to helping others in need.
Marsha was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life head on, with courage and dignity. She was a tough woman, but she had a heart of gold. She is a source of utmost inspiration to us all, and she will be deeply missed by the countless lives she touched.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Spike, sister Brenda Mauzy, son Kris Hackbirth and wife Stacy, daughters Kim Hackbirth and Kay Perry, stepson John Cochran and his wife Rhonda, stepdaughter Peggi Sue Harrel-Vigil and her husband Scott, ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Marsha will be held at 14290 S. Utica Ave. Bixby, OK 74008 on Saturday, June 25th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, cards and condolences can be sent to the above address.
