Mark Darren Hope

Mark Darren Hope passed away with loving family by his side Wednesday morning, August 7, 2019, at the age of 56 years. Mark was born on February 24, 1963 in Tulsa, OK to his parents, Jerry and Wealthia (Powell) Hope. He attended Tulsa schools and was a member of the 1981 graduating class of Daniel Webster High School.

Mark met the love of his life, Tammy Sparger, at Tulsa Technology Center in 1995. She was teaching adult photography courses and he worked in the Facilities Maintenance department. Their friendship evolved into a relationship and they were married on July 24, 1999 in Tulsa, OK. They recently celebrated 20 years of marriage together in July.

He loved life, enjoyed spending time with ‘the gang’ and family. Mark adored his beagles, and loved being outdoors. Mark enjoyed going to the Riverwalk in Jenks and listening to the local musicians play, going on beach vacations, or just having good friends over to the house to hang out around the pool and grill out. He took great pride in his yard and supporting Tammy with her photography.

Mark leaves many loving memories with his family, loving wife, Tammy Hope; parents, Jerry and Wealthia Hope; brothers, Perry (Twyla) Hope and Tony (Jo) Hope; many nieces and nephews and other loving family members; as well as numerous friends. Mark will be missed by all who knew him.

Services celebrating Mark’s life will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, August 12, 2019 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Randy Shaddox, Rev. Robert Converse, and Rev. Valerie Robinson officiating. The family requests memorials be made in Mark’s memory to the Beagle Freedom Project, https://bfp.org/ or your favorite charity.
